Volunteering in the library of one of the great Art Deco theatres can be a rewarding experience, especially for those who love music. Computer familiarity and the ability to tend to details are very desirable but not necessary. Volunteer duties include assisting in all aspects of collection maintenance: including accessioning, cataloging, circulation, classification and distribution. Hours are flexible as to quantity and times. The Paramount Theatre, in downtown Oakland, is accessible by public transportation, including BART.
